Last Saturday the first team hosted Middleton 2’s at The Sportsfield. The first team batted first and posted 297-4, largely thanks to a magnificent knock from Tom Lee who scored 150 not out. In reply, Middleton never went for the total and held out at 219-9 off their 55 overs. Nathan Perry the stand out bowler taking 3-45. Full scorecard here.
The second team travelled to top of the table Broadbridge Heath. Broadbridge Heath batted first and posted a very healthy 279-6 off their 40 overs. The second team were then bowled out for 114 after never recovering from losing early wickets. Full scorecard here.
The third team travelled to local rivals Rustington. The third team batted first and posted 203-8 with Daniel Rive top scoring with 76. In reply, Rustington were cruising at 118-0 but tight bowling from spinners Hemsley, Dubey, and Kitchen pulled things back for the third team, and Rustington ended up 18 runs short. Full scorecard here.
On Sunday, the Sunday team hosted The Believers. The Sunday side posted 238-2. Dan White scored his maiden 100 for the club, finishing on 119 not out. However, The Believers made light work of our total, chasing it down with 1 ball to spare. Full scorecard here.
