SAMIT PATEL

Samit Patel has been a mainstay of the Nottinghamshire side since making his county debut in 2002.

Only international call-ups have interrupted an almost permanent run in the Notts team since then, with the all-rounder now having played 561 matches for the county across all three formats.

He has scored almost 12,000 first class runs, including three double centuries and helped his county to two county championship triumphs, plus victories in two one-day finals and one T20 Blast final.

.

Additionally, he is the only cricketer to pick up the man-of-the-match award from a Lord’s Final and from a domestic T20 Finals Day win.

Samit has represented England in Test, One-Day and T20 internationals and has played franchise cricket all around the world.

In 2017 he was the Professional Cricketer’s Association Player of the Year.

For the first time, this winter, he’s telling his story. Hear about his run-ins with the fitness gurus, the triumphs and near-misses of nearly two decades in the game, plus the fun and laughter shared with some of cricket’s great characters.

DAVE BRACEGIRDLE

Perhaps better known as one of Sky Sports’ football reporters, Dave’s first love is cricket and he is a former international player himself (Italy, no less!).

He has covered Nottinghamshire’s fortunes for almost 25 years and has followed the fortunes of Samit Patel and his county team-mates at close quarters throughout that time, commentating upon their triumphs and sharing in their successes.
